O’Rourke & Sons moved to 511 S. Bolmar Street in the spring of 1986. While still working with home builders, we expanded into commercial fabrication and erection and hired many new employees. As the company grew, new equipment, tools, and trucks were purchased. Now. O’Rourke & Sons now has two shops, a fleet of over 40 trucks, and about 70 employees.
O’Rourke, who lives in Las Vegas with his wife and children, continues to work in the fabrication industry while pursuing his dream of metal art over the past eight years. Once addicted to drugs and alcohol, he celebrates his 22 years of sobriety.

Laing O’Rourke has a long history with Rio Tinto, having delivered numerous mining infrastructure projects for the company since 1975. Recently, it successfully completed the first phase of the structural, mechanical and piping (SMP) works for the in-loading and out-loading conveyors and transfer towers at the Cape Lambert Port B stockyards, one of the seaports used to export iron ore from the region.
